GM makes a bid for Chrysler

Well this is interesting; GM makes a bid for Chrysler

Wow that’s a great idea–General Motors, whose stock has gone from over $96 a share to $30 and change and who is losing $3.50 per share (est) this year, will bail out Chrysler, who has over $16,000,000,000 in unfunded healthcare liabilities, to say nothing about a product line that is not selling.

I do not profess to be a financial wizard so if someone out there understands this, please let me know.

On the bright side I was in New York last week and can report that the Chrysler building is still standing. (Even if the company isn’t.) Sure glad Mercedes bailed them out. Those Europeans sure know how to run a company.

Well this is understandable

Last month car sales in Mexico were down 6.69% but track sales were up 1%…Why? Well my guess is a 4WD truck can bring more illegals across the border than a passenger car…seems obvious.

On a somewhat more serious note, NW Priority Credit Union will host an Auto Solution car sale in late April. These are a lot of fun, if your Credit Union is not hosting one soon have them contact me at mark@cu-autosolution.com.

And finally, last week the Ecology Center in Ann Arbor Michigan ranked more than 200 new vehicles for air quality. “The new car smell is directly related to chemicals that are in materials in vehicles.” These chemicals can lead to birth defects, allergies, and cancer, says the Center. Well thanks to low Credit Union loan rates, the payments won’t kill you. But the air? That’s another story.

Summer is coming so remember Auto Solution and your Credit Union for any new or used car needs.
